FEBIC LAC meeting on SINODALIDAD [video - English & Español]
We have had the FEBIC LAC meeting on SINODALIDAD, where in the call we proposed that: “… we meet, we chat, we talk, we listen to each other and we seek to see what God is saying to the entire FEBIC LAC…”.
We did this and thus we have deepened the proposal of Pope Francis to the whole Church, in his speech of October 17, 2015 on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the institution of the Synod of Bishops. This invitation to live synodality in the Church, taking into account that Synodality and Church are synonymous, he affirmed strongly, that “… synodality is the path that God expects of the Church of the third millennium…” An affirmation of this transcendence, opens new perspectives on our manner of living our following and adherence to the Lord. Therefore, it requires that all the people of God, the main ones involved in this invitation, feel involved as participants in this moment of God, which we are called to live, seeking among “all”, and then “some” and finally “one” (the Pope), to sensitize ourselves to what the Spirit is saying today to the whole Church, in this very particular and challenging today that we live.
The dynamics of sensitization to the action of God in the current situation requires: getting involved, participating, contributing, listening, DIALOGUING, in order to have the elements to DISCERN, the will of God, in our present existence. This dynamic of listening to the people of God is aimed at listening to the Spirit who speaks to us through each baptized person and thus the entire Church.
We hope that this video that we are presenting to you can be of help in continuing to deepen our areas of work and in this way create a climate of reflection and reflection throughout the Federation, allowing us to be in tune with the whole Church.
In this context, we who are part of FEBIC LAC, and by extension, the Biblical Federation must necessarily feel sensitized and committed to this dynamic, so that we too let ourselves be enlightened and inspired by the Spirit, in such a way that our contribution to the Church, correspond to what the Spirit is inspiring and suggesting. In that sense the Pope spoke of a conversion of the Papacy, and in this perspective, it is essential that the FEBIC LAC and I believe, by extension, the Biblical Federation, all the more so, tune in to the appeals and challenges that the Lord expects of each and all of us.
We hope that this video that we are presenting to you can be of help in continuing to deepen our areas of work and in this way create a climate of reflection and reflection throughout the Federation, allowing us to be in tune with the whole Church.
