The Diocese of Roseau celebrates Bible Month
With the slogan, September is Bible Month, the Diocese of Roseau launched a series of instructions on the Bible as a means of encouraging the people of God to pray the Bible, to listen more attentively, to dialogue on the bible in families and community groups, to discern the voice of the Spirit for our times. In short, to celebrate the life-giving Word of God.
These instructions are given in the form of radio talks on the diocesan Dominica Catholic Radio, while they are simultaneously streamed on the Facebook pages of Catholic Radio and the Diocese.
The subsequent programmes will include an overview of the Old Testament, the Hebrew Scriptures with specific reference to the Pentateuch (Torah), the Prophetic Literature (Nebi’im) and the Wisdom Literature (Ketubim) including the Historical Books and the Deuteo-canonicals. In exploring the New Testament, there will be programmes on the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles, the Pauline Corpus, the Catholic Epistles and the Book of Revelation.
Our vision for disseminating the Word of God is that the knowledge and appreciation of the Bible can be afforded every member of every community of the Diocese.
We invite you to tune in to Dominica Catholic Radio, 96.1 FM every Monday and Wednesday from 10.30 to 11:30 or visit the Facebook pages of the Diocese of Roseau and Dominica Catholic Radio.
