Experiences and Challenges
The International Biblical Congress will take place in the city of Rome, at the ERGIFE Palace Hotel, on April 23-26, 2019.
The detailed program of the Congress, exact address of the Hotel, information on how to get there and the registration form can be found on the Congress website: cbfcongress2019.org
The principal invitees to the Congress are the delegates of the member institutions of the Catholic Biblical Federation. The Office of the Secretary General has reserved 200 individual rooms and 50 double rooms at the ERGIFE hotel where the Congress will take place. We also have available 200 additional places for other participants.
The total limit of participants is 500 persons. Delegates of the member institutions of the CBF – one delegate per institution – will have preference and the order in which registrations are received will be taken into account.
The presiding bishops of the Bible Departments of the Episcopal Conferences and bishops of the dioceses affiliated to the Federation are invited out of quota. They will have secured accommodation, but they have to pay for the trip. We ask the Lords Bishops to register as all the other participants using the registration form.
Persons not affiliated with the CBF, who fill out the registration form, will occupy the rest of the places. The final date for registration is March 29, 2019.
Each member institution is responsible for the cost of the travel of its representative. The organization will cover the cost of travel for the presenters.
The Catholic Biblical Federation will pay the cost of housing for 300 primary delegates of member institutions of the Catholic Biblical Federation (one for each institution), giving preference to presenters and strictly following the order in which registrations are received.
Planning your trip keep in mind that the hotel receives the participants of the Congress from Tuesday, April 23 at noon until lunch on Friday, April 26. If you arrive earlier or have to stay longer, you will have to look for accommodation in Rome on your own.
In order to help meet the cost of the Congress, each participant is asked to pay €50 at the time of receiving their accreditation at the beginning of the Congress.
Unaffiliated participants will pay an additional €70 to help with the cost of refreshments. There is the option of purchasing a plan of three breakfasts for the price of €110.
Read the instructions carefully on the Congress website. If you still have any questions, write to us at address email@example.com
