Reunión de América Central yl Caribe reafirma ABP como prioridad para la Región

A Biblical Animation of All Pastoral Life (ABP) encounter of delegates from Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean has endorsed the high priority placed by the Bishops and Church in the Antilles for the Word of God to be central to all pastoral activity of the church in the Caribbean region.
The meeting 8-10 September in Mexico City at the Pontifical Mission Societies facilities just opposite the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadeloupe, was attended by representatives of the Caribbean Bishop’s Conference(AEC), Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico and Puerto Rico, and included bishops from Costa Rica, Guatemala, Haiti, and host Head of the Mexico ABP Commission, Bishop Colin. The grouping of the Bishops of Latin America known as CELAM was represented by Fr. Guillermo Acero, head of its Biblical Theological and Pastoral Centre (CEBITIPAL) and the world wide Catholic Biblical Federation (CBF) by its Munich-based General Secretary Fr. Jan Stefanow.
